RICHMOND, VIRGINIA in the Fan.

The sale was successful, but we had many nice items that failed to sale.
The sale will continue on ebay as we wrap things up.

After over 35 years in their Fan home, owners are downsizing and selling
many of their collections, works of art, and furnishings. 

FURNITURE includes several items original to the house (ca. 1870’s) including a three piece walnut bedroom suite with bed, marble-top dresser and washstand; another impressive Victorian walnut bed; walnut marble top side table; a pair of walnut Victorian finger carved parlor chairs; large Victorian walnut wardrobe (breaks down for moving); a walnut plantation desk; and a tall pine 2 piece step back cupboard, Victorian marble top credenza; WICKER furniture including a sofa lounge chair with ottoman, desk, and plant stand, various early stands and work tables; Victorian mahogany settee, 6’ Victorian sofa; quilt stand, and a miniature doll size tiger maple slant front desk.

PERIOD FURNITURE includes ca. 1800 Virginia walnut 2 piece glass front corner cupboard (great size – fits a 27” corner); an early 19th century Virginia mahogany cellaret, a Sheraton shield back side chair w/inlay;  a fine late 19th century English cellaret; early painted yellow pine cupboard from North Carolina;, dove-tailed cherry cradle; a Empire mahogany tilt-top drum table.; federal mirrors; painted Boston rocker; etc.

COLLECTIBLES include over 150 pieces of VICTORIAN MAJOLICA of all shapes, sizes, and makers – there is a Wardle 4 piece Bird and Fan tea set, numerous Etruscan pieces, see the photos on our web site; also over 100 pieces of Chinese and Japanese cloisonné, carved soapstone, orientalia of all kinds, Staffordshire dogs; Mexican dolls and artifacts including a wonderful pre-Columbian necklace from Oaxaca Mexico; STONEWARE pitcher w/blue décor; Waterford crystal and Oxford by Lenox dinnerware; set International Sterling flatware; early RICHMOND, VA SAMPLER; various toys including a 1940’s Berliner Zinnfiguren North Pole set, other Berliner sets, Ivory mystery ball on stand, brass candlestick collection, brass hall tree, several 19th century oil paintings (including OUTSTANDING 18TH CENTURY PORTRAIT OF LADY AND CHILD maybe Baltimore; and prints; 1960’s watercolors by N.
